Dance

To spend the day locked away,In the confines of my mind, a hell I weave,Where our shared visions twist and play,And only we perceive. Purgatory, this life I tread,The sights I’ve seen, the tears I’ve shed.At times, alone I stand, my fate,To walk this path forever late. In the vast expanse of fortune, we dwell…

To spend the day locked away,
In the confines of my mind, a hell I weave,
Where our shared visions twist and play,
And only we perceive.

Purgatory, this life I tread,
The sights I’ve seen, the tears I’ve shed.
At times, alone I stand, my fate,
To walk this path forever late.

In the vast expanse of fortune, we dwell alone,
This life, indifferent, remains our own.
Exceptions, rare as morning dew,
It will never come, no matter what we do.

To feel is complex, a perilous road,
I’ve journeyed down more times than I’ve known.
Not that I expected change to unfold,
But in my heart, hope silently stowed.

Long days stretch behind and ahead,
What is life if not a dance with dread?

Purgatory is a great reference. The path in our mind, like a circle. Walking seems to never stop
