Any and Everything

We have finally made it to 2024 and I hope you all had an amazing day. I’m glad to saw we hung out and shot fireworks off with out neighbors. And rang in the New Year right with some Champagne and wine. Of course the kids enjoyed their sparkling cider. 

Today is a day to breath a fresh breathe of air and take a step out into the world. I want to make this year better than the last and it is within my ability to do so.

I previously decided that I would no longer be sugarcoating anything and if something needs to be said I will just say it. I have already been doing this since Josh died and it feels good. I like the transparency.

For dinner we did the traditional southern meal pork, greens, blackeyed peas and cornbread. The pork symbolizes prosperity, the greens symbolize good fortune, the blackeyed peas symbolize wealth, and the cornbread symbolizes gold.

 

It was a good day to be with my family and I hope you all had a good day around people you love.
